I am Aurel Hamon, a french computer science student. After a bachelor degree in computer science at the University of Nantes, France, I am currently following a master degree at the ENS Rennes, France.
The M1 SIF (Sciences of InFormatics) focuses on the theoretical aspects of computer sciences while also tackling technical issues of hardware and development throughout the teaching units, and also has a strong research component.
In general in France, master program last for 2 years. But at the ENS, it is mandatory to take an additional year (generally in between) where student can choose between different study program. That's why I am between my first and second year of master, taking internship abroad in laboratories. After my master I would be willing to continue with a PhD, but I still need to figure out on what topic I would like to work.
