My outreach activities
- I wrote a text (in french) to explain my work to the non mathematician persons who came to my PhD defense.
- I have supervised groups in the weeks of Cigales, aimed at high school girls. For one week (during their school vacations), the participants work in small groups on research projects in math and/or computer science. They play sport in the afternoon, meet scientific women -- all in good fun! I have proposed a subject on the game Dobble and I have been pleased to supervised a group in April and October 2022. I have also given an outreach talk about kaleidoscope in April 2022.
- I gave my Geometrist' gaze (regard de géomètre) to classes that work on an artistical project linked with mathematics. In 2022, the class of seconde with art option at Lycée Denis Diderot created a wonderful kaleidoscop.
- I also visit classes on other occasions: presentations for the Fête de la science, and my thesis presentation to students in their final year of high school.
- And to share the curiosity of mathematics with all ages, I've run stands at the salon des mathématiques in Paris in June 2022, and at the fête des sciences in Marseille in September 2022.
